Our Services

Dredging

Dredging involves the removal of sediments and debris from the seabed and other water bodies. This process is essential for maintaining navigable waterways, deepening channels, and preparing sites for construction or reclamation projects.

DredgeTech Marine's team has extensive experience in dredging Malaysian ports for the past 20 years and have successfully undertaken projects in India, Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan and other locations.

Reclamation

Reclamation is the process of creating new land by dredging and depositing material to elevate the seabed.

DredgeTech Marine's team have been instrumental in port expansion projects across major federal ports in Malaysia including Asia-Pacific region.

Revetment

Revetment involves constructing protective barriers along shorelines, riverbanks, and other areas prone to erosion. These structures, made of durable materials such as stone and concrete, absorb and deflect wave energy, preventing soil erosion and land loss.

DredgeTech Marine's management has a proven track record of successfully completing revetment projects.

Breakwater

A breakwater is an offshore structure designed to protect coastal areas, harbours, and anchorages from the force of waves. By dissipating wave energy, breakwaters create calmer waters behind them, safeguarding shorelines and harbour infrastructure.

DredgeTech Marine's management have successfully constructed several breakwaters throughout Malaysia. A notable project was a highly complex breakwater construction project on the east coast of Malaysia. The Accropode II designed breakwater, over 4.3km in length and up to 20m in depth, is considered one of the largest single breakwaters in the world.

Coastal Protection

Coastal protection encompasses various measures aimed at defending coastal areas from erosion, flooding, and sea-level rise. Techniques include the construction of seawalls, groynes, and other structures, as well as beach nourishment and dune restoration projects.

Marine Construction

Marine construction involves building structures in marine environments, such as jetties, seawalls, marinas, and offshore platforms. This field requires specialised equipment and expertise to handle the unique challenges of working in offshore conditions.

Shipbuilding

Shipbuilding is the process of designing and constructing vessels of all types, from small boats to large Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD) and Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD). This complex process involves numerous stages, including design, fabrication, assembly, and launching, utilising advanced engineering and technology.

DredgeTech Marine's team has been involved in constructing the third largest jumbo Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) in the world and the largest dredger in Asia and other Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD).
